My name is Alia and I am a clinical psychologist, mindfulness guide and breathwork specialist. I founded The Space in Between with the goal of making a positive impact on the mental health of individuals and families.

I am trained and experienced in working with a wide range of mental health issues. My areas of practice include bereavement and grief, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and parental management, providing guidance and support for parents looking to raise encouraged and emotionally resilient children. I also work with individuals looking to learn more about themselves and their purpose. 

Over the last decade, I have had extensive experience working with adults who have lost their sense of purpose. This transformational work, standing alongside my clients as they rediscover their true selves, has enhanced my passion for the hakomi way. 

Working with clients one-on-one, I began to notice the power of intentional breathing. No matter what, the thing that will always bring an instantaneous and momentarily sense of relief is taking 3 deep breaths. The fusion of breathwork and therapy has an everlasting impact that clients can carry with them anywhere. As a certified breathwork specialist, I lead Pranayama sessions, where we explore healing through mindful attention to breath, extending into somatic meditation and spiritual exploration.
